Dear Parents and Guardians,
As we prepare to return to school next week, we would like to share a quick reminder about our BCNS school uniform for the year ahead.
Our crested school uniform is an important part of our school identity. We want our pupils to feel proud to represent BCNS, while keeping the uniform practical, comfortable and straightforward for families.
Uniform items can be purchased from a supplier of your choice — there is no requirement to purchase from a particular shop or brand. We simply ask that items are in our school colours of navy and light blue and follow the uniform guidelines.
Our BCNS school crest costs €5 and can be ironed on. Staff will be available in school this Thursday and Friday from 10:00am–1:00pm for families who would like to collect/purchase crests.
As everyone gets organised for the return to school, we would appreciate your support with the following:
🔵 Navy & light blue – these are our school uniform colours. Whether wearing the school tracksuit or uniform, pupils should wear a plain navy outer layer with a light blue polo shirt/shirt and navy bottoms.
🔵 Plain navy tops – sweatshirts, jumpers and cardigans should be plain navy, without visible sports, fashion or other logos/branding.
🔵 BCNS crest – all navy school jumpers, cardigans and tracksuit tops should display the school crest.
🔵 Please label all uniform items – particularly jumpers, cardigans and tracksuit tops. Clearly labelled items can be returned quickly when they go astray.
🔵 Tracksuit bottoms rather than leggings – navy tracksuit bottoms form part of our school uniform; leggings are not part of the school uniform.
🔵 Warm-weather option – on hot days, pupils may wear plain navy school/sports shorts in place of tracksuit bottoms. These should be the traditional loose-fitting school/PE style rather than cycling shorts or branded shorts.
