‘Neart (Irish for strength) is a national programme supporting the mental health and wellbeing of post-primary students in Ireland. It is run by Jigsaw, NEPS  (National Educational Psychological Service), and the Department of Education and Youth.

What’s available for parents?

Neart provides free resources for parents and guardians, including:

  • Online webinars on key topics
  • Podcasts for parents
  • Practical information and advice to support your child’s wellbeing.

What topics are covered?

Content is based on feedback from over 1,800 parents and focuses on issues that are of interest to parents/guardians.

  • Managing anxiety
  • Supporting the transition to post-primary school
  • Understanding the impact of social media
