Dear Parents and Guardians,
We wish to inform you that our school was among more than 150 schools nationwide that received an email this morning containing a generic bomb threat.
The matter was immediately reported to An Garda Síochána, who attended the school and carried out the necessary checks.
Following their assessment, Gardaí are satisfied there is no indication of a credible threat and that the school can continue to operate as normal.
The safety and wellbeing of our pupils and staff is always our absolute priority. We have taken this matter seriously and have acted in accordance with Garda advice throughout.
While we do not wish to cause unnecessary concern, we believe it is important to keep our school community appropriately informed.
We would ask everyone to avoid sharing unverified information or speculation that could cause unnecessary worry.
We would also encourage parents and guardians to be mindful of how this information is discussed around children, so as not to cause them worry or anxiety.
We will open as normal tomorrow and look forward to welcoming all our pupils back to school. As always, the safety and wellbeing of everyone in our school community remains at the heart of all that we do.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
Kind regards,
The BCNS Board of Management.
