Dear Parents and Guardians,
We wanted to let you know as early as possible about two days coming up this month that will affect our school.
On Tuesday, the 6th of October, the school received notice from the unions that, as part of a national pay dispute, teachers’ and SNAs’ unions, along with other public sector unions, will be on strike on Wednesday 14th of October and Wednesday 21st of October, unless the industrial action is called off before then.
The Board of Management has decided that the school must close to pupils on both of these days. We know this means finding alternative arrangements for your child, and we wanted to give you as much notice as we can.
School will reopen as normal on Thursday 15th October and Thursday 22nd of October.
We really appreciate your patience and understanding, and we know this isn’t easy for families. If anything changes, including if the strikes are called off, we will let you know straight away.
Kind regards,
The Brannoxtown CNS Board of Management
