Head Lice (04/12/25)

Dec 9, 2025

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We are writing to inform you that a case of head lice has been identified in our school community. While this is a common issue among school-aged children, we want to ensure that all families are aware so we can work together to prevent further spread.

At this time, we ask that you please:

  1. Check your child’s hair and scalp carefully for signs of head lice or nits (eggs).
  2. Treat promptly if you find any evidence of lice. Over-the-counter treatments are widely available, and your pharmacist can provide guidance if needed.
  3. Remind your child to avoid sharing hats, hair accessories, headphones, or personal items that come into contact with hair.
  4. Notify the school if your child is found to have head lice so we can continue monitoring and respond appropriately.

Please note that the presence of head lice is not a reflection of cleanliness, and it can happen to anyone. Our goal is to manage the situation quickly, discreetly, and effectively.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact the school office.

Thank you for your cooperation and support.

Warm regards,

BCNS Team
